Sydni Hammar, LMFTA
Individual and Couples Psychotherapist
Hi, my name is Sydni.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (MG61192676) for the state of Washington, serving individuals, couples, and families in Seattle.
Clients typically come to me with concerns about anxiety, tendencies toward perfectionism, work stress, or challenges in their relationships. Many of my clients have also endured challenging life experiences and are in search of relief and a greater sense of well-being.
Foundational to my approach is my belief in the importance of self compassion, and the idea that while difficulty in life is inevitable, we have agency in how we process and cope. As your therapist, I seek to collaboratively discover healthy ways for you to weather life’s ups and downs and support you in finding ways to take ownership of your story and possibly re-write aspects of it that are not serving you.
I draw from a variety of theoretical approaches to therapy, such as:
I am additionally trained in Lifespan Integration Levels 1 and 2 for trauma work. Lifespan Integration is a gentle, body-based approach to healing and processing trauma.
As a family systems-trained therapist, I also tend to be paying attention to how both micro level systems (family, relationships) and macro level systems (religion, culture, politics) may be impacting your experience.
- Life transitions
- Young adulthood + “Quarter-life crises”
