Let’s begin

“Owning our story can be hard, but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.” -Brené Brown

Individual Therapy

Drawing from psychodynamic, narrative, and ACT therapy lenses, we will work together to uncover and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, identify and address past traumas, and develop new skills to help you live a more fulfilling life.

You will have a safe and compassionate space to share your story, work through difficult emotions, and build resilience.

Together, we will cultivate a sense of empowerment and self-compassion, so you can confidently navigate life's challenges and create a life that aligns with your values and aspirations.

The goal of a healthy relationship is not to avoid conflict, but to learn how to repair it.
— Dr. Sue Johnson

Couples Therapy

Drawing from EFT, narrative, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy lenses, we’ll work together to help you understand your communication styles and build communication skills that allow you to engage in conflict in a calm and constructive way.

I support with issues such as:

  • Conflict

  • Communication issues

  • Connection and intimacy

  • Attachment styles and patterns (including relationship anxiety and withdrawal)

  • one or both partners is neurodivergent

  • division of domestic labor

  • Relationship discernment

By exploring your individual experiences and perspectives, and creating space for honest dialogue and deep listening, you’ll strengthen the bond between you and your partner and create a more satisfying and connected relationship.

Counseling for Trauma

Lifespan Integration (LI) Therapy is a gentle, effective, body-based therapeutic approach that can help you overcome trauma and emotional pain.

This therapeutic approach draws from psychodynamic, attachment, and neuroscience theories, and can help you develop a stronger sense of self, heal inner child wounds, and find inner peace. The therapy is typically short-term and focuses on achieving rapid relief from symptoms, as well as long-term healing and growth.

It is particularly helpful for those who have experienced early childhood trauma, but can also be effective in addressing a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, PTSD, and more.

Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents

As an adult child of emotionally immature parents, you may struggle with issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulty forming healthy relationships. Therapy can provide a safe space for you to explore the impact of your upbringing and learn new coping skills.

Using a combination of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and attachment-based approaches, we will work together to identify patterns from your childhood that may be impacting your present life, and develop strategies to help you establish healthy boundaries, build self-worth, and develop fulfilling relationships.

FAQS

  • We will start by meeting weekly so that we can build a relationship through consistent time together. This allows me to get a deep understanding of your needs and goals so that we can tailor your treatment accordingly. Over time, we may decide that meeting every other week feels appropriate. I encourage regularly checking in about how therapy is going and how the cadence feels.

  • Time spent in therapy varies from person to person. Some people come in for just a few sessions to target a specific issue, and others may decide to be in therapy for years—and then there’s everything in between!
